	Our Mission Statement The Portage Animal Hospital provides the highest possible quality of health care to our patients. We emphasize preventive medicine, aiming to maintain optimal health in all our patients, prenatal through geriatric. We are dedicated to promoting a strong bond between pets and their owners and to supporting both in all phases of health and illness with compassion and empathy. Our entire staff believes in educating our clients and in caring for them and their pets personally.

Dr. Roper completed her undergraduate work at Purdue University in 1993 and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She has practiced small animal and emergency medicine in the greater Chicago area and Indianapolis over the past 8 years and serves as a Board Member on the East Chicago Board of Health. We are proud to have this accomplished doctor join our staff of caring professionals.
